Backup
In the backup phase, you will register your email, your passphrase (encrypted) and transfer the lock shares to your friends.
To back up a mnemonic passphrase, you will need:
A Kepler Wallet with SCRT. We recommend that you provision a new wallet that you can throwaway after the backup process. You won't need that wallet when you recover your passphrase.
A valid email address. The application will send a verification code to that email address.
Your passphrase. Or any other piece of text your want to backup confidentialy.
One or more Secret wallet addresses of people you trust. These people will receive pieces of your passphrase lock that we call "shares". When the time comes to recover your passphrase, you will need to get some of those shares back before starting the recovery process.
Steps
Read the instructions and clock on the "Let's start" button.
Enter your email address and press "Add Email". A verification email will be sent to you with a code.
Copy and paste the code into the box and press "Verify".
Enter your passphrase, the total number of passphrase shares you want to distribuite and the threshold to retrieve when comes the tiem to recover. Finally, enter the Secret Addresses of the people you trust to receive those shares.
You are done! You can see your UUID (you do not need to remember that number) and the receipt of the transaction on the blockchain.

When comes the time to recover your passphrase, you need to ask the people you trusted during the backup process to return their shares.
