Recovery

In the recovery phase, you will recover your passphrase.

To recover your mnemonic phrase, you will need:

1. A Kepler Wallet with SCRT. No need to use the same wallet as for the backup, you can create a completely new wallet.

2. The passphrase lock. This means you will need to ask the people you trusted during the backup process to transfer back their piece of the passphrase lockback to your new wallet. You do not need to get them all back but at least a certain number of them (based on the threshold number set during backup).

3. The email address that you have used during the backup process.

Steps

1. Read the instructions and clock on the "Let's start" button.

2. Click on the button "Refresh shares" to load your shares first. Then, select the share associated with mnemonic that you want to recover. You can only recover if you have enough shares back. See Transfer and Approval.

3. A verification email will be sent to you with a code. Copy and paste that code into the form.

4. Confirm that you want to recover the passphrase. At this step, we give you the option to delete the passphrase from the blockchain after recovering it. If you choose to delete the passphrase, you will not be able to recover it again.

5. Congratulations, you have now recovered your passphrase.
